Finish is tobacco burst.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08041513900539113608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4613893995913129147.post-47507989165738241592019-07-20T08:10:57.753-07:002019-07-20T08:10:57.753-07:00I recently bought a Gibson Melody Maker 2014. Light, slim, versatile.

I have sold my other 21 Gibson guitars, because they are heavy, ugly and I didn't like them anymore. This last Melody Maker is fantastic, it's great!Апостол Апостоловhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16842670839009010552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4613893995913129147.post-72740128321669437972016-07-13T11:25:30.672-07:002016-07-13T11:25:30.672-07:00Excelent post !!! Just one thing.........A friend of mine has loaned me a glorious instrument what was sold to her as an "Original 1959" Melody Maker (3/4 neck, single pickup, incredibly resonant and sweet sounding guitar), but the serial number (8 9678) clearly indicates manufacture in 1958 in the Kalamazoo plant. So does that mean that the debut year for the original Melody Maker was 1958? Thanks again for your teaching!...........BillAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05918880610793484351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4613893995913129147.post-68108586114599065162015-03-19T11:43:38.689-07:002015-03-19T11:43:38.689-07:00Excellent Melody Maker history, well done!
Just o...Excellent Melody Maker history, well done!

Just one thing, the change to pointier horns took place in 1964, I have one myself. The '64 model still had the usual sunburst finish. From 1965, I believe, they were all cherry red.

Regards,
TobbeEbbothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11145069473915893079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4613893995913129147.post-19458240151260045892012-11-16T03:18:18.653-08:002012-11-16T03:18:18.653-08:00Marc...I really enjoyed your post.
