In the 60's recording equipment, amplification and speakers were unable to accurately reproduce notes below low E and often seemed to struggle with that!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07738267861831771463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4613893995913129147.post-58735024218863274102015-02-21T05:26:25.155-08:002015-02-21T05:26:25.155-08:00heartfield dr6c:i think that its the former model ...heartfield dr6c:i think that its the former model of yamaha`s trb 6.because the japanese can it produce much cheaper than fender in japan.so it became the "birth" of the yamaha trb 6.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4613893995913129147.post-85561323247097388992014-03-14T17:40:51.790-07:002014-03-14T17:40:51.790-07:00great review...great review...cheap bass guitarshttp://us-bassguitar.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4613893995913129147.post-36498742372576135652014-03-12T12:13:24.128-07:002014-03-12T12:13:24.128-07:00G L Wilson, you are absolutely correct. Last year the Squier Modified 6 string bass came out as did the Fender Pawn Shop Bass VI. I have made corrections and updated the post. Thank you for pointing this out to me.marcusohara@aol.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00357395346195087734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4613893995913129147.post-78314429623109813162013-11-03T06:41:20.181-08:002013-11-03T06:41:20.181-08:00"Around 2004 Fender put the Bass VI back into..."Around 2004 Fender put the Bass VI back into production under the Squier brand. The Squier version of the six string bass has a 28” scale and a humbucker bridge pickup along with two single coil pickups."

NOT true. The Squier "Vintage Modified" Bass VI was first made available just a few months ago - in the summer of 2013 - following the Mexican-made Fender "Pawn Shop" Bass VI which date back to the beginning of the year.

I think maybe you are getting confused with the Japanese-made Fender Jaguar Bass VI Custom (2005-2005) which was originally called the Fender Jaguar Baritone Custom. It had a 28.5" scale length and was modelled on the Jaguar rather than the Bass VI. There was also another model known as the Fender Jaguar Bottom Master which I believe was made for the Japanese market only, and had different switching options.
Neither of these were never issued under the Squier brandname.Gavin Lloyd Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10937598384359522498noreply@blogger.com
