Joe Walsh "Life's Been Good To Me" Auction

December 16th and 17th at the Troubadour in West Hollywood Joe Walsh is auctioning off hundreds of his possessions, which include a lot of guitars. Online bidding has already started.

The event begins at 10 am PTS each morning. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Joe’s favorite charity, VETSAID. So, dig in them jeans and pull out them “greens”.

2007 Shelby Mustang

You could own Joe Walsh’s 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT. Current bid is $60,000.  California license plate for the car is LBG 2ME.

Or you can bid on his 2008 Humvee. Current bid is $20,000.

Or how about his 1955 Steinway Baby Grand Piano that was previously owned by Les Paul. Current bid is $20,000.

But for those of us that have circumstances such as I, you can own Joe Walsh's vintage Western Flyer Bicycle. The current bid is $100.

There are certainly a bevy of reasonably priced goodies. There are 776 items, including over 400 guitars that are on the block. Many of them are Walsh's stage clothing.

We are going to concentrate on his guitars and music equipment.

You may know Joe Walsh is a big fan of Duesenberg Guitars. He even has a signature model.  He is offering quite a few of his Duesenberg guitars for sale:

Joe Walsh is also offering enough of his Fender Guitars to start your own music store:

There are 118 Fender Guitars here and there are more in the auction!

There are a few of these Fenders that are bargains. I predict some vintage dealers might pick up a few and sell them at inflated prices due to their provenance as Joe Walsh was the owner.

It amazes me that Walsh has accumulated this many Fender instruments.

Walsh's Practice Amps
I find it odd that Walsh has a number of Squier guitars and inexpensive practice amplifiers.

A Few of Walsh's Amps

There are plenty of professional amplifiers up for bid; Marshalls, Fenders, Mesa Boogies, and others.

VETSAID

Much of the proceeds of this auction will to to a charity, VETSAID, that Joe Walsh set up over ten years ago to commemorate the loss of his father, and friends he lost during the Vietnam War.

It is a worthy cause, and some of the items are treasures. So sign up and place your bids. Don't make me holler! Don't make me shout! Turn them pockets inside out!
